If you have a problem with your loyalty being publicly known, then you probably wouldn't be attending live events anyway, due to how high-profile they are, so I don't see the issue.

I beg to disagree, you can perfectly attend a live event being unaffiliated, but actually being a staunch loyalist of a sikrit faction.

It could have been my case since Lyn's true affiliation has been made more or less public only in the past year.

Let me rephrase, you wouldn't go to an event and publicly support the faction you are secretly working for.

The thing about unwritten rules and unspoken agreements is that if someone breaks them either deliberately or accidentally, then it generates a whole lot of drama and fractures between people, leading to groups not talking to one another, which is harmful in the long run, to everyone.

So, no, I do not regret bringing it up. Someone has to.

And the thread in question has been updated subsequently, to make it clear the actors won't call people out.

So the actors wont be going around saying "Hello Bloodfriend!" to any of the blood raider players, or similar kinds of things, and it's up to the players to reveal to others through their actions what's what, through doing things ingame&inspace, rather than foruming.

As far as I understand, sleepers now are just automated mechanical defenses.
To be a sleeper loyalist means... well... adopting infamous Bender's ideas 'to kill all humans'

Meh.  The Intaki secession movement is definitely a thing in the lore, and the whole point of getting players to declare is to figure out how to sort them.  If a bunch of people are declaring loyalty to a thing the setting has existing as a faction people might feel loyal to, it really only makes sense for CCP to recognize that.  I mean, isn't the whole point of the sandbox that we can have an impact on things like this?
