It'd have to be Jim Carrey for Caellach, not for looks or the big name aspect, but I really can't find anyone else who can be a daft enough muppet to do Cael justice.

Somehow that makes so much sense. I don't know that I'm going to be able to deal with Caellach from now on without thinking of that picture...

Meh, it works and that's the code I'm used to using. I'll remember that, though. Xiexie. ^_^

No, it doesn't work, that's what I'm saying. Click the link and see. :)

Interesting people have chosen Chinese actresses for Achur characters...I always thought Achur were more Japanese through their presence in the State (State Wakisashi, State Shukuro Buke, Samurai etc.) and also because of their names on Carbon random name generator (Akiga, Tekitsu, Sunji)...and Jin-Mei were the Space Chinese with names like Shi, Guang, Tian, Han, Gao etc.

Maybe, but I don't really know enough Japanese actresses to be able to choose. xD So instead, I stuck to what I saw channel flicking in Singapore.

Yes, other than anime, I do draw a blank on "Japanese cinema"...

Akira
Awesome Manga. Should be on everyone's shelf.
Kurosawa
Best weapon in the Armored Core game in my oppinion.
means nothing to you?
Unless you mean the producer, writer, director & editor by the same name, no. But he's not an actress and that's what we're discussing.

Carmilla would played by "Natalie Popovich"

Angelina would be "Amanda Tapping"

Cia, I was just referring to Seriphyn's comment about drawing a blank on Japanese cinema, that's all. :)

I think it was Shalee who suggested James Purefoy for Horatius when we had this thread on the PIE forums. Haven't found anyone that fits better yet.

But perhaps we'll add some haggard bald Michael C. Hall to tone down the pure sex that Purefoy tends to ooze.

I would choose Ken Takaura albeit younger than he is in this image, preferably from 1989 in Black Rain (badass movie)

Failing that I would ask for Ken Watanabe

With a bit of scarring prosthetics and naturally, both would need to have blind contacts.  For those interested this is Taku atm.

:Edited to put Mr Watanabes name down, forgot to last time, d'oh.

I've thought hard on this since I got the new portrait, and I've settled on...

Chris Pine

as Senn Typhos

Not for his work in Star Trek, but for his work in Smokin' Aces. He'll need to look fairly disheveled for the "low level criminal" scenes, and equally good with a clean cut look for the "capsuleer advisor" parts. The bonus is, he's sufficiently jarheaded and able to pull off a cold, emotionless stare easily.

Jodie Leigh as Simca

Granted she's a dancer and i don't know if she has any acting talent at all, but I saw her in a music video and my first reaction was 'OMG that's Simca'.
