Now Have Two Profiles

So we now have two distinct profiles on the official site. A forum profile and a Gate profile. I liked all of the forum changes up until this. But this is just unnecessary ease-of-stalking in my opinion. Tracking post counts, an easy-to-read latest posts, all of this? What was wrong with just having an EVE Gate profile?

They're moving forum-centric features to the forum. And it's possible they're phasing out EVE Gate or redesigning it. The forum and EVE Gate changes/tweaks were mentioned in the CSM minutes but I don't remember the details offhand and it's late so I'm not about to go fishing for them until morning.

Mmk, I'll go through the minutes tomorrow. I've just heard highlights from others so far. As I said, I loved all of the forum changes until this. Not like it really ticks me off or anything, but it seems redundant.

Woah that's kinda cool. Not that you're banned, because that sucks, but the little popup is cool. I've never seen it before... well, I mean, obviously... but you know what I meant. This is like some documentary about prison life, only it's banned life. You should get a tattoo, you know? One of those prison inks done with a ballpoint pen and a dull razor blade. Nice.

Anyways, this is the first "I am banned" announcement post that I have ever found genuinely interesting, in the history of all of my internets. Ever.

Anyanka has been banned for almost seven months now. I actually enjoy the ban. I would've posted so much more hilariously shit posts if Anya hadn't been banned. I think Anya would've had more hate than Diana. At least Diana has the redeeming quality of being a Caldari loyalist. There is no hope for a baby eating Blood Raider. That is what Anya would've devolved into publicly anyway. Being banned was a blessing fit with a covert ops cloak! You should all try it sometime! ;)

"permaban" only means 6 months anyway nowadays, according to the forum moderation policies.

This can be true. You are allowed to petition every six months to regain access. I petitioned and they said because of my in-game activities they will not restore my forum privilege. It's a bullshit excuse since I wasn't banned for in game activities. I was banned for linking porn on my tumblr account that was linked in my forum sig. I'm just not going to petition again. I would only use IGS anyway and IGS is pretty shit. So it's not worth it.
