I have some nagging doubts, but I remain hopeful that the expanded reboot will not overdeliver on CGI and underdeliver on science. With NDGT, one can usually count on uncompromising basis of fact, so I think even Fox can get this show right if it lets him walk the line of sensational presentation and cosmological verity.

Alas, I don't have TV so I will be watching on the internet as soon as it's available.

I also earned a healthy dose of respect for Seth McFarlane for developments related to Sagan's work. Pleasant surprise, that.

I think it will be good. Now I need to get it on Blu-Ray along with Planet Earth (the BBC version).

Is this something that can be interesting for someone who has pretty good basic and not so basic knowledge about the cosmos? I find it interesting matter, but I don't feel like watching this if it's aimed at "noobs" and is only going to tell me stuff I already know.

The old Cosmos is worth watching even if you've got a firm backing in the subject matter.  I think NDGT can do it justice.

What Nissui said. With NDGT there I suspect even FOX can't fuck it up.

Doubt I'll watch it as it's aired, though - that'd require me to want to sit through commercials and that's like asking CCP to make scamming against the rules of EVE.

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Necro time.

Been watching this again and it just blows me away how well it is done. Every single episode is a treasure trove of inspiration, mindblowing scales, heartwarming stories and cautionary tales. The animated bits are gorgeous and cgi is suitably epic when need be.

Is it weird that watching these episodes makes me inexplicably happy?

Not weird at all.

I should rewatch them, would be good for my self esteem.

The last episode didn't really get my hopes up...Europe's The Final Countdown took on a whole new meaning for me.
