"We're getting rid of TonyG!" they said. "The story will be sensible!" they said.

I think it's neat that we're getting live events, news updates, and maybe some shake up in the status quo.

I suspect the Empress is next on the chopping block, and that makes me sad, but I'm not unhappy with CCP about it.

Eh-- the alliances needed a bit of a shakeup, anyway. Eve's ongoing duality was getting a bit tiresome. Pity about the hamfisted execution (always a problem where the plot's a railroad) (that's not a criticism, quite-- I know full well that they can't really do it any other way when it comes to the timeline, especially when there are art assets to get ready in advance), but ... eh.

Now we just need the Empress to shelter Tibus Heth from a pack of frothing megacorporations and the circle of mutual acrimony and distrust shall be complete.

... although upon further consideration I have a sudden premonition that House Sarum's Reclaiming plans aren't aimed at the Federation or the Republic.

I bring the gift of logs!

They're only partial, around the time when the shooting began and Grid gave order to ewar the Republic fleet.

I like the direction this is going, overall. Even if some of the immediate circumstances are a little questionable, I think overall at least some tension between 'allies' can only be a good thing for the health of the cluster (from a 'things being interesting' point of view)

Skirmish is officially the wrong word for this. Roughly 112,500 Minmatar Casualties (assuming 25k per crew and 30% survival rates) and 36,000 Federation Casualties (assuming 20k per crew and 30% survival rates).

A little bit of chaos in the Republic is good for establishing the Planetary Conquest, at least

Lets just say that the idea Aria had a premonition of would be Gonzales level idiocy from a believably standpoint.

I really like the turn of events here.

I would also like to note that both the Gallente and Minmatar epic arc stories both hints that the relation between the Federation and the Republic is not as brotherly as many seem to think. Especially when the FIO is involved. As I think CCP Eterne was involved in writing the story for those arcs, it seems like he is continuing his work here.

Well of course.

Already said yesterday that it will at least decouple the FW cross-Empire 'alliances'. No cross-territory farmers anymore.
