I still think that you guys are being wildly optimistic in assuming that CCP is going to turn the Caldari fiction around. For all we know, they think they've been far too kind to us. I wouldn't be surprised if we all try to get rid of Heth only to have another, even worse dictator from the Navy or something.

Instead of "Executor", we have "Generalissimo"

Or "Fuhrer".

Perhaps the npc is supposed to be out of touch, flawed, patriarchal and dismissive of capsule pilots? Just a thought.

Holy jesus balls, she lives.

*does sign of the cross*

Where's my holy water it's gonna get anarchical up in this forum :)

I wouldn't get too worried as yet. Been crazy-busy with real life work for six months and unlikely to have much time for spaceships for the foreseeable future. I do like to keep up to date with eve happenings and dramas though in case I do ever find the time to come back to New Eden.

(Though what I'd be coming back too I have no real idea, the anarchist movement has crumbled to dust and star fraction is scattered to the four winds ... It's strange really, all a bit like being well's time traveller seeing the fast forward crumbling of societies and cultures until all that remains is strange and alien.)

Lord knows what Jade Constantine would make of the modern state of eve.

I would imagine the State would be a good target for Fraction shenanigans, given the, uh, state of things. :P

Lagging Behind

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

I think Jade's dead on with this one.

The glaring flaws on display are simply indicative of the glaring, flawed people running the show.

I can assure you that the chambers of RL power would be no less shocking were you and I ever made privy to them. In EVE as in life, narcissistic power-hungry cockgorgers are usually the only ones willing to hatefuck their way to the top.

Goodness though, don't go thinking we're immune. You'll never transhuman your way out of that particular core element of the species.

Sad but true. Just take a look at spanish politics, or italian politics, and you'll get a feel for it. And no, I don't think they are worse than elsewhere, just made more visible due to different events. But america's filtration of secret cables in wikileak could also serve as a good proof.

Yeah, I feel you. Saw the same process happening with the Ordo. It's strange to watch it all from the bench.

Or the STPRO 5 years ago.

In this case, it would be incredibly boring.  It isn't as if there is an organized group of Heth supporters to go shot.  Actions by outside enemies would probably result in the opposite of the outsiders desired effect.  The best option for any outsider to the State to see change is to STFU and not give the Caldari an outside threat to rally against.
