First off: That video is awesome.

As for the threat to capsuleers:
They do use systems that lower the efficiency of capsuleer, hence the debuffs in the incursion systems. I would call that a threat because I would certainly hate it if someone would start chiselling chips off my throne of ultimate power.
That power is the second reason: It is a challenge because capsuleers seem to be the only ones capable to repel his incursions. So you got lots of capsuleers that are in it for humanitarian, patriotic or egoistic reasons - profit or helping to assure the dominance of capsuleers.
Hey, he issued a challenge. That alone should be motivation for some, too.

First reaction: NICE video.

Second reaction: Thank gods, this should put an end to people OOCly claiming it is not clear Sansha is taking people against their will.

Third reaction: Scratch that. They will just claim CCP intended it to be "just CONCORD propaganda".

Who would dare question their faith in Master Sansha?

This was a pretty good introductory piece for those not familiar with the PF. I wonder if this will be a hallmark of future events and what not, like the Serpentis who seem to be next?

There was one or more Serpentis live events actors who showed up and did sneaky things. I don't know if that was just some shadowy in-game way of fulfilling the Recursion piece, or a hint of something more. As far as I'm aware of they're the only ones who have direct Live Events presence more than the other factions.

It was a good video and a good PF primer, but the premise that it was once a top secret file is pretty thin.

The good bits (spike dildos) were all redacted.

Any ideas why the automated Incursions have been massively targeting Amarrian space and have so far not been in a single Republic system? It's looking less likely by the day to be pure chance based on the number of constellations held by each of the empires.

Amarr space (including Khanid and Ammatar) is 10 regions. Minmatar space is 3 regions.

There is that, I prefer to think that the minnies are paying him off.

State space has only seen one incursion to my knowledge (4 regions).  So, from a purely statistical standpoint the Empire should see the most, followed by the Federation, then State and Republic.

Irony. Look at your journal tab.

Also rp reasons. Sansha has a reason to hate Amarrians and vica versa.

But the question arises from that...

Why is he a challenge for the capsuleers?
Why would capsuleers care?

It is the Empires that he is a threat to.
It is the common population of the Empires that he preys upon.

To the capsuleers he is nothing more than a nuisance.
A part of the terrain to avoid, or to exploit to your advantage.

Surely he is not a threat.

capsuleers would care for.. many reasons...

their wives, husbands, parents, siblings, friends, aquaintances, teachers and pet dog, are all generally planetbound... and it is the planetbound populations of the empires, not the monolithic entities that are the socio-political groups we lovingly call the empires that he is truly a threat to..
