A Syndicated Enterprise?
« on: 08 Apr 2011, 19:42 »

What, if any, RP corps (have) exist(ed) based on and/or in Syndicate.

I appeal to the vets, bitter or otherwise, or simply those with special knowledge of the topic for answers to this curiosity.

Today, talk to Milo about Anshar.

I ran Back Alley Trading Company (now closed) out there for a while, and I think Stimulus / Rote Kappelle may head back soon from Curse.

Anshar has a decidedly Serpentis streak to it.  As much as I appreciate that element and like Milo, my thoughts here are more along the lines of Syndicate in the sense of the en Diabel family, ISP, Intaki exiles, opportunistic (but not necessarily illicit/blatantly immoral) business, etc.

Didn't GoGo do something with the Intaki Syndicate?  Also a Sydicate group based around PI would be neat since the Syndicate was banned from building colonies by the Federation.

I wonder how much the Syndicate has bothered to listen to the Fed. ;) And yeah, BKAT back in the day was more Syndicate than Serpentis.

I'd like to see somebody step up and organize a real Syndicate-oriented entity. It'd be nice to have the other half of the Intaki Syndicate spectrum, so ANSH had somebody to cooperate/argue with.

I-RED left between 1-2 months ago, might go back in the future.

*Soter's corporation lives three jumps from Syndicate, but people say it's not a roleplaying corporation*

Okay, wait.

Are we saying, "a corp that lives IN Syndicate," or "a Syndicate corp?"

Because you don't get to be a part of the Intaki Syndicate by just living in Serpentis-owned space. Especially not if you're aligned with a major nation already. >>

I think they live NEAR Syndicate, based on his post.

My query pertains to RP corps that live(d) in Syndicate and/or represent(ed) particularly Poitot-centered Intaki Syndicate interests, not necessarily Serpentis or Angel ones.

Jules, is it that you don't consider Moira. to be an RP corp or that other people outside of it don't?

I think they live NEAR Syndicate, based on his post.

I wasn't questioning Soface's phrasing, I was questioning alliances like Huzzah or I-RED being identified as "Syndicate" entities. 'Cause those are, pretty much the antithesis.

There used to be some RP-lite pirates around the syndicate area back in the day. I don't think they were RPing being aligned with the Syndicate faction so much, more like they were part of the whole Syndicate as a place for those outside the law vibe.

And I certainly wasn't criticizing anyone, just clarifying. AFAIK they're not Syndicate-aligned in any way.
