Back when I was in Naqam I named all my ships Utopian [something]:

Utopian Ideal (Chimera)
Utopian Peace (Nightmare)
Utopian Splinter (Crow)
Utopian Link (Absolution)
Utopian Sunshine (Zealot)
Utopian Rain II (Cerberus)
Utopian Curse (Hurricane)
Utopian Pattern (Armageddon)
Utopian Temple (Megathron)
Utopian Alchemist (Phantasm)
etc.

When I joined ReAw I started using more random names, though there are themes here and there:

Awakening Ideal (Thanatos)
Burnished Fool (Loki)
Brilliant Fool (Tengu)
Sarcastic Vole (Catalyst)
Sweetest Feather (Cynabal)
Lustrevik Lass (Raven)
Windup Cloud (Hurricane)
Fundamental Error (Vagabond)
Assembly Required (Scimitar)
Simple Twin (Hurricane)
Sunset Sky (Abaddon)
Broken Sky (Manticore)
Pacifist Dream (Armageddon)
Low Sky (Hound)
Cold Memory (Megathron)

Recently got a Legion, thinking I'll call it Shining Fool.

Sansha's Loyal Watch [Scorpion]
Dread Centum Ravager [Gila]
Centii Observer [Anathema]
Dark Sansha Monster [Deimos]
Dark Slave Harvester [Ashimmu]
The Sword of Nation [Widow] <- ♥u master ; - ;
True Slave Echo [All my shuttles]
True Sansha Vanguard [Tengu]
True Slave Wailer [Osprey]
Centatis Kommandant [Claymore]
Stygian Slave Lich [Flycatcher]

I normally use the Dark prefix when using Blood Raider technology, and Dread when using Guristas technology. True Sansha usually has Sansha faction gear on it, or is otherwise a particularly exceptional ship.

I've noticed something about these threads. Everyone posts their list of ship names, hoping someone else will notice how cool their ship names are. Invariably nobody does.

Admit it, you all posted your ship names in this thread, because you were secretly slightly hoping someone would go "OMFEGFEG THAT'S THE BEST SHIP NAEM EVUR" etc. But when nobody did, you felt a bit terrible. Like me.

Mine varies quite a bit. I try to keep it RP viable but some names are just for lols.

Usually all my ships carry the VCS tag.

I've posted a ton of ship name threads over the years, so I won't make you slog through my latest list.

The one I did think was somewhat clever was my Apocalypse, "The First Stone".

All Cia's ships have names that start with 'Fortune's ... something'

Fortune's Fist - Dominix
Fortune's Fire - Thorax, although the name has been held by a Vexor in the past
Fortune's Figment - Helios
Fortune's Firefly - Proteus
Fortune's Flea - Shuttle

I do, however, rename on the fly on the rare occasion I'm in a PvP fleet.

Naw, I'm not hoping. But I find it interesting how many people have developed naming schemes.

Anyway, I typically assign my ships words with negative connotations, and typically one word to a ship type (for example, all of my Thorax's might be named "Wrath"). To be honest, I wouldn't bother with naming them at all except for the scanner.

That said, some of the names I've used:

Banshee
Daemon
Incubus
Aberration
Dread Visage
Ripper
Blight
Lilith
Doom Hammer
Searing Light
Regretful Damnation
Catastrophe
Tragedy
Annihilator
Oblivion's Embrace

My old ship names (not a full list, only those I can remember):

Maranatha - My Anathema
Sansha's Servant - My Succubus
Nikiruu - My Drake, Dominix and Tengu
Aria - My Zephyr
Nomad Church - My Primae

Everything else I named according to the hour and minute that I undocked in it.

For instance, 0126, 2304, etc.

Aaaah, and this is why you are such a #%&#¤%&%¤. Let people keep their little candle-hopes for a change, why don't you? Incidentally, if I wanted to have recognition to such a degree I'd post the lists for the State ships, Faction ships, T3 ships and Capital ships as well.

Also, I found some of these naming scemes fun and some out right cute - Graelyn's apoc being named 'the first stone' is something I found hillarious due to the bible connection, either being a ego-stroker that Graelyn is sin-less, or just a pull of his own char's leg.

Where is your list btw?
