The Endless Forest

Quote
You are a deer. So are the other players. You meet each other in an endless forest on the internet. The setting is idyllic, the atmosphere peaceful. You communicate with one another through sounds and body language.

It's the weirdest multiplayer game I've seen in ages.  Be a deer, do deer things, find custom outfits from magical items from trees (or give them to others).   Symbols are the only way to tell if you met that deer before.

If you do want to try it, go to settings before you login the first time to change to windowed mode.  You'll thank me later.  If you want to have your own symbol and get special deer outfits, go to network -> login after you picked your emblem and login name.

The twin gods are the two behind the game, they login and cause dev hax. I'm completely blown away by how they can change the game environment so easily.

I like the implications of Gallentians being punched in the face by walking up to a Minmatar as they so freely use another person's culture as a fad.

It's not for everyone. But as a game developer, it's a shiney goldmine. xD

The Path is scary. It's more of an interactive poem than a game per se. And it's disturbing as hell.

I never understood the interest in deer hunting as a sport until I read this.

A curious game - but it's PC only; so it can fry in hell.

You mean my fail laptop w/ the screwy menus that randomly shuts itself down to do system updates?  Are we really going to need *another* sticky "The Official knock on Macs thread" like we have on Du'uma boards?

Ohgodyesplease.

*ahem.*

Yeah, I'm not usually a fan of Goons, but the somethingaweful review of this game was... quite amusing.
