I keep hearing this "too bad I don't have sec status" thing.

It's really easy to repair with tags, you know.

It is, but it's also a non-trivial expense. To pull my sec status up from -9.5 to 0.0, cost about 500M. This is fine for a change in lifestyle (I was going from PY-RE to ALXVP). Just to attend an event with a real possibility of dropping it again anyway, it's a bit much, in my opinion.

It's not too bad if you spend some time ratting and collect the tags.  I've done it a few times with Maria now. *innocent look*

You lot have it way easy. Let me know when you've ratted your way back up from near -10 the proper way, without using tags.

You are not required to have a -9.5 sec status to play the game. It is a decision that a player makes on their own, and they must live with the consequences of that decision. :hardcore:

I can honestly say that the "consequences" of living with -9.0 are almost entirely negated by access to jump freighters. Living full time in lowsec is fantastic

This whole storyline is something intended to bring I-RED out of the quiet corner and give people something to involve themselves in. Everybody is welcome to react exactly as they think they should IC:

• Those in PIE are welcome and encouraged to demand we come clean with the truth.
• Those in PYRE are welcome to call us hypocrites.
• Those who like us IC are welcome to defend us, as there will be plenty of opportunities for you to feel justified doing so.
• Those who hate us are welcome to take opportunities to villify us, as there will be similar opportunities to do so

I'd also like to point out the Scope articles are OOC greenlit by I-RED. I am the one ghostwriting them and Korsavius is using a Scope alt to post them. Those who are concerned that it's somebody trying to crap on us should not be so concerned. It's all part of the storyline, and unfortunately, we're unable to create a Scope character with more than a few days membership time.

TL;DR THIS IS WHAT WE OFFER FOR THIS STORYLINE

That's right, if you're not feeling special snowflake enough with the public or small group events, you can contact myself, Korsavius, or Makoto for opportunities to place your character in a special role that directly affects the storyline.

Almost all spoilers are available for grabs if you can provide reasonable methods for how your character came by them. Bonus points for espionage or otherwise underhanded ways.
