Onetwothree MY FUCKING SIDES

One does not keep Mantis Shrimps in mere aquariums. One keeps the Mantis Shrimps in bulletproof aquariums!

I doubt they can distinguish much more than the sixteen colours they have receptors for. In General, in arthropods many of the functions that are situated in the mammals CNS are realized in the periphery. Also, many colours are vanishing underwater, as the light spectrum gets narrower through absorption...

I prefer Synalpheus regalis. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z735I4m8F8c

If you haven't, go find a copy of Fred Saberhagen's "Smashers". It proves that Mantis Shrimp are indeed awesome,
to the point of nearly singlehandedly trashing an invasion of alien killer robots.
If it hits you in the nads, you will see stars.

And isn't that mantis shrimp thing like a year old at this point anyway? :P

Lagging Behind

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Mh, they made mistakes with color mixings. Light is additive, not subtractive...

R+Y = white
R+B = magenta

How do they dare mock the mantis shrimp with false science.

Sure.  But not everyone is as up on the latest trends in crustacean porn as you.  They deserve to see this too.

Are you suggesting that the Mantis Shrimp is, in fact, the Kool-Aid Man?

Things I have learnt from EVE RPers today.

My Art teacher always maintained that R+Y=orange. Curse the arts and their campaigns of liberal misdirection and obfuscation!
