Honestly, I don't think that the two positions are mutually exclusive. Rather I think that both cases are found in the State, probably in different megas to differing degrees.

shit just got real.

http://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/world-news/report-tash-murkon-may-back-sarums-calls/

That's two heirs pushing for war.

2/6 Privy Council openly supporting.

In b4 Khanid II and the rest of the heirs use this as a means to push jamyl into humiliating defeat and he snatches up her throne  :yar:

Catiz is said to only be 'thinking' of supporting it, though in terms of EVE news stories that probably means she will be. I do hope there will be some strong dissenting voices. A unified Empire will be quite boring.

I for one fully endorse the Imperial drive to give Minmatar RPers more targets

What's stopping you? Don't let the news prevent that, if you really want to give it a try.  We like good new members!  :cube:

Anyhow, on the topic, it kind of took me by surprised that the Tash Murkon heir would be the first of the other heirs to give high consideration towards Merimeth's suggestion. I would've thought it would be someone like Yonis or Uriam first, as their houses tend to be far more traditional.

Yeah, I was surprised by that too.

That's because Tash-Murkon is a dirty, dirty Udorian schemer.

Hmph!

Agreed on that the Murkons being the first to openly support the idea at least partially. I expect some of the more traditional houses to come out in support which could lead to a 4/6 in support....It's a fun time to be a Amarr Loyalist

it's not ancient Greece or Rome, or even the Caribbean plantations, so why are we expected to believe the Empire might be "running out of slaves" ? The idea is frankly ludicrous.

Surely they can just 'recall' some Ni-Kunni back into service.  ;)

I was under the impression that some Holders actually bred slaves...and as long as the slaves aren't discouraged from getting it on with one another, there'll be offspring, so yeah, not sure how the "we're going to run out of slaves" thinking comes into play?
