Go have a look at the three long lines of light on the landing-pad your ship sits on in any Federal station. It's quite the ugly texture.

Possible evidence that someone was taking the "asymmetrical" Caldari design philosophy a bit far. ... or perhaps just trying to put it back in. Caldari ships have been getting disturbingly symmetrical lately.

Clearly, the Blue Donut in nullsec is all because of this crooked window. Crooked windows make crooked leaders, and crooked leaders make crooked deals! It all makes sense.
