News:

That PIE capsuleers do not only supply their comrades with spiced wine, but also with dark, maltey ale and fine brandy from their planetside holdings?

Hola!
« on: 12 May 2010, 16:03 »

So, I sat there asking myself is there more to EVE than meets the eye?
I do my best to try new things, but still, just maybe something is missing.

Today I noticed a post that mentioned Sansha BS arriving through a WH in X-70, hmm interesting.
I read on, waste the best part of the day at work feeding my EVE habit..

'Now this is more like it' I think, 'I wonder how I get a piece of that?'

My journey sees me land at Backstage...

I do like a coffee...a real coffee mind you...http://www.home-barista.com  I like to play EVE and drink an espresso or two....I dont go the whole hog and listen to Jazz though.

These live events sounds cool, I didnt realise it was part of EVE before.
Being a first generation gamer I've always thought the PVE was a bit weak (Being Polite) in EVE, but this kind of interaction seems like it could open a new world of possibilities up.

Welcome and no need to be polite  ;) Pve is weak in eve as its in fact a minor part of the game. Just that many tend to get stuck in that from habits from other MMORPGs

Excellent to meet another person who appreciates a properly prepared coffee beverage. :)

Ah Casiella, we share a common sadness no doubt, that few will ever seek out a real coffee.

But hey! still, more for us

* Mizhara looks up from grinding a personal blend of freshly roasted beans.
What? Sorry, I missed what we were talking about here.

This is a forum on steroids tbh. The rate at which content worth reading is being generated could get you pregnant.

Roasting my own beans comes next. For now, I use a burr grinder and a press for my coffee. I generally try to buy organic / free trade when possible, but as I'm in the US we probably can't use the same suppliers too easily. :)

Hello, soon to be addicted person.  Welcome!

I admit to a bad carbon habit.  The DH and I use http://www.surfcitycoffee.com/  instead of seeking out a local vendor.

They were local to us when we lived in CA.  Does that count?

Cas' a press is nice..a nice vintage one would be cool. I think I may get a 'Presso' for a quick fix, also great on camping trips, they  seem to be pretty decent for making a quick shot. Who knew so many coffee enthusiasts would be into spaceships.. 8)
Can you get a good Turkish grind from your burr?

Havo' I think it just about counts  :D DH?

Tea myself - A nice proper British blend, imported for me by family members when I can get it.

Welcome to the fun house.
