Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Awww shucks.

Seriously though, the only bit of the credit I can take is flying there and lighting a cyno

Yeah, you weren't the one trying to co-ordinate between two different sets of event actors and four different fleets :P

(Protip: Never do this.)

Hopefully I'll remember to read up when I get home and stuff isn't blocked, but would anyone like to give me a brief rundown on what happened so that I may applaud too?

tl;dr Stitcher and Morwen made Goons look like idiots by using a cyno to jump freighters around the blockade that, I assume, Vea set up to fuck with the event. Freighters jumped, aligned to the high sec gate, entered, without event. We win.

The Goons purposely setting up a "special" gank for this event I think is a bit of a stretch.   Uedema, a system along the route, is known for being a ganking spot.  Its the lowest sec system on the high-sec route between Jita (and the State in general) and the Federation (Gallente markets).

Was the option for jumping planned on CCP's part or a serendipitous occurrence since the Rhea is an Ishukone-skinned freighter?

Basically, Grid and Andy started screaming (asking) for lowsec systems that were within JF range of Kamio and near Luminaire because there were a number of Goons in Uedama ganking things - whether they were there specifically for the Ishukone convoy or not is still unclear to me, as they actively took criminal flags at least once while I was monitoring Uedama.

I suggested Seyllin, the Ishukone convoy leader (Kaus Siainda) decided it was worth going for, and then he asked Stitcher to get a cyno over there ASAP.

When the JFs were forced to undock by SuVee, they jumped to Stitcher's beacon, then made their way to Luminaire.

Op success with no critical losses. :)

In short: The whole fleet was stopped while people where talking in hushed voices about this huge Goon gankfleet that was seen - I think - on killboards ganking a few stupid freighters a bit earlier.
Would we've simply moved to Uedama gate and send a scout through, nothing would've happened. But when you spend 15 to 30 minutes idling a few jumps out, talking about how seriously bad it would be if the goons would gank these freighters in Uedama one could think that this might draw more attention to the thing. But in the end the cynoing was successful.

Yeah.

It was pointed out a couple times that as soon as a bunch of them took GCC from ganking something else, we had more than enough time to get through Uedama before they could do anything else, but I'm not sure why we didn't.

I remember hearing something about another gang -in- Kamio, but I never got that far because Andy and Grid told me to stay in Uedama and keep eyes on the gankers in there.

Eh. Even if the whole thing was a case of jumping at shadows it still makes a better story than "Ishukone freighter convoy travels from Malkalen to Luminaire without incident"

I'm quite inclined to agree that we probably would have been fine to forge ahead anyway. I scouted both gates and saw nothing that looked a suicide gank fleet and with the goons docked with GCCs we were as safe as safe gets anyway.

Had I been FC I'd have probably dismissed the goon sightings on the intel I had and just gone ahead anyway. I wasn't, and I don't like when fleet members argue with the FC over course of action, so I just kept quiet and followed orders as they came through and thanks to 4th district watching the highsec gate in Seyllin everything was fine and dandy.

I definitely feel like I got good PR out of this, but I'm not even being modest when I say that literally all I did was do as I was told. I don't recall that I ever actually ventured an opinion on what our course of action should be.
