How have you managed with or fixed elements of your character that you started to dislike after playing?

The name of my main. Oh, god, the horrible, horrible name. I only got involved with the EVE RP scene about ten million SP in. If I had to do it all over again, knowing how annoyed I'd be now, I'd still recycle and start over.

There are days when I wonder what would have happened if I'd stuck with my very first character instead of cycling through a number of alts before making Vieve.


There are also days when I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't experimented with all those alts after I made Vieve.  Not too often, though.  I've had great experiences with them that would have very likely not been available to me had I stuck solely with her.

There are a few for me.

...not left EM

...left EM much earlier and joined one of the Angel groups

...not made so much of my RP about fighting Amarrians

...waited for longer before doing any relationship stuff with kala

...not spent two years cycling through characters and biomassing them every time I got bored (I would have like, 70m sp *sob*). On the other hand, this allowed me to experience more or less everything eve had to offer, even before I started Kala.

...spent more time thinking about a coherent back story before I joined GRD >.>

And a whole load of other stuff. But on the whole, I'm actually pretty happy with Kala.

About the only thing that I was 'damnit if I could do it differently' was make Ghost a woman. But then I got a second account, and as I could not front the 30$ character transfer for Zegerth, conjured the Integrator Yeliana out of the ether. She was something of a logic experiment to see how a female Ghost would have been, but quite quickly took off into a completely different direction.

Hmm... I'm pondering the impact this would have had on the number of illegitimate children Ghost would have unknowingly had.

Back on topic, I'd have done a bit differently, probably not played quite as fast and loose with the PF when creating this character, although it has then forced me to be pretty creative about keeping the basic character concept while trying to shoehorn it into the lore. It worked... sorta.

I also would have avoided having my alts talk to each other in public channels, leads to too many instances of (admittedly hilarious) alt-fails.
