If Eve was Real

...What would you do?

There is a whole universe of stuff that should be possible RP-wise but we can't do due to simply haven't been implemented yet. My thought was that the various alliance leaders shouldn't be restricted to using Capsuleers, why not also buy/train/hire thousands of Rifters and their crews to support the fleet? Also there is I presume a whole universe beyond the stargates systems, I wouldn't mind pulling a BSG with a few freighter loads of colonists and jumping out past known space.

So, if Eve was Real, what would you do?

If EVE was real... then most of the things that have happened in the past would not have been able to happen.

Depending on would we have the Reclaiming or not, I would spend my days building up a religiously minded colony or kill heathens.

If EVE was real ... eh.  I'd probably be a productive cog somewhere in the State.

In addition to what I already do, I'd probably be building my own massive deadspace complex.

And Amarrian RPers get all defensive when we make OOC cracks about them being racists and child molesters.

I always did wonder where the last accusation came from, can't recall any source, and it seems to me like a cheap hit on Amarr because they are religious and 'religious' is what catholics are, and some catholic priests etc. have been found to have been child molesters. It seems a very serious insult for no provable basis in PF at all.

Hell, here is another unprovable basis - the serpentis are known to run a large host of illegal activities in the fed, with or without the cover of being a 'legit activity', as well as the angels and some guristas. Nothing stops them from having 'these places you never speak of to the missus' containing anything from outlawed goods and substances to 'entertainment' of various kinds, like enslaved people pressed into the porn industry in the forms of a wide variety of fetishes including but not limited to the abuse and exploitation of kidnapped children from all over. <- 'unprovable in PF' only because it is not directly written down anywhere, IIRC. it's still hinted at with the PF info on how groups like the angels, guristas and serpentis work.

Incidentally, if EVE was real, not only would 'missioning hubs' stop existing withing hours because there would not be a pirate alive DUMB enough to go to High sec to be killed by eggers on the behalf of the governments, (or for the hell of it) but my toon (BB) would soon devote his entire waking life to establishing a huge information-network and spy system whose purpose was solely to find intel on places like the above and everything else the pirate factions do. Then bend all his assets, money and ships into having all of them shut down and the responsible parties killed in a variety of horrible ways as warnings to people not to run them or go to them. Sarpathi among others would soon find himself with a few arch-enemy eggers who hates his guts, and who knows... in a few years maybe his sad little empire would come crumbling down on top of him. Incidentally the federation's control would also expand nicely into Fountain and soon consume the regions controlled by the serpentis, if my toon had a say in it.

And that would just be a start. After that there would be an angel holocaust, then the blooders etc.

From Jakiin's thread
Quote
When that started, it looked like it was getting better. I mean, sure the Empire were super-dicks in the past, but it seemed they might be getting better. A society that has been evolving from black to gray isn't too bad, but once Baron Harkonen was put in charge things just started going downhill. The pedophilia part was just horribly unnecessary. We get it: He's the bad guy, you didn't need to write scenes of him having prepubescent children licking his bits to make that clearer. What. The. Fuck.

I'm assuming this is from The Emperium Age, which I haven't read, and to be honest would probably consider information not available IC (based, as I said, on not having read TEA). That may be where it comes from, or else as you suggest people are just projecting stereotypes of Catholic priests onto Amarrians.

If I were a mere mortal? Run straight to the nearest high-sec planet in the Federation and live a normal life and try not to be exploded.

Capsuleer.... Hard to say what being immortal and having no consequences would do to a person. I'd like to imagine I'd be off fighting for democracy in the federation or running a nice capsuleer corporation, but I dont know : )

I'd get a job with Concord.

Indestructable ships, all-piercing scanners, drives that can warp directly into deadspace, unstoppable weapons, even the Jove wouldn't stand a chance...

More seriously, EVE is so unreal that I would have difficult to imagine what I would do if it was real. I suppose I would at least have one conversation with the crew of my ship.
