Gahaha ... yeah, I've got my family's rosy round cheeks; without the goatee, my face looks a bit like Carl Sagan's and also a bit like the moon.

You should have seen me in college, though; my hair was down to the base of my spine. Given a top hat and long coat, I looked like Gary Oldman's version of Dracula. Tied for first in my LARP circle's "looks most like a vampire" competition.

This is a surprise?

... Okay, now I'm the one who's surprised.

Admittedly, I do tend to play female characters partly for practice at writing females, but I've never felt that Aria was one of my better efforts in that area. Some of the other PRETA members have described her as kind of genderless, which is probably an indication that I've overintellectualized the character (which isn't necessarily bad; she certainly overintellectualizes herself).

Definitely need to work on Aria's "female" status, yes.

I try to avoid facebook because they sell your info, I have an account, but I am yet to use it for anything that actually matters.

its more like the fact that any pictures I upload to facebook are property of facebook. That sort of thing.

Also, as a random aside, photobucket does that too. That's common practice. You'll also note (if you read their entire privacy statement and EULA, which I did out of boredom one day) that if you delete anything off the Facebook site, they return the ownership rights to you.

That's actually a legal situation that they are better off doing because it allows them to have the option to delete obscene or inflammatory content in case of need.

Tell that to my ex-mother-in-law who spammed Facebook with pregnancy photos of me when I told her I hated the way I looked at 8 months - but she showed my tummy to the world without asking even though I barely consented to the photo?

Then you join Facebook and people start using it to talk to you over some forum-esque system when the message would be far better sent over an IM. Well, that's from personal experience anyway. It's very annoying.

I was squinting pretty horribly on the only picture in that set that had my face visible. I'll go find a good one and put it up soonish.
