So, I'm looking at my Evemails today and I notice that Ammentio Oinkelmar is now RIP.

I say to myself, that's strange. He seemed like he had some decent things started.

And then I read this:
LUMINAIRE – Essence – 14.6.113 – Gallentean Politician Ammentio Oinkelmar together with his wife has been killed in a vehicle accident in Casque, Gallente Prime.

The 31-year-old founder of the Gallente Independent Progressive Alternative was behind the control panel of his planetary sports chariot when the steering control was lost. According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle began drifting and was eventually hit by a rapidly moving heavy armored transportation machine.

Mr. Oinkelmar’s wife, Mrs. Labana Malpaserre, who was a passenger in the chariot, was taken to hospital with serious injuries but despite the attempts of the medical personnel she passed away a few hours later. According to medics, Mr. Oinkelmar, who was dead on arrival at hospital, suffered fatal internal damage and several limbs were missing.

I confirm everything above. OOC, I was happy with the scandal-blackmail thing.

When it came up, Ammentio had already lost his position due to the war effort. The potential revelation of his various behind-the-scenes machinations and the related loss of reputation would have caused harm to the party and killed his career in politics, so he decided avoid the scandal, marry the director of agriculture and go back to planetside to do vehicle business. There, this accident took place.

The clues in the news article were extremely vague and they were not incriminating MXD, so in principle anyone could have done it. If someone wants to take the blame, I think it's still available, on FCFS basis.

The new cabinet of his former party pretty much seems to have replaced his projects with their own :/

Tangential noob question:

What does one do with a dead character? Are there re-customization options so that the OOC player can make a new character from the old one, and thus start a new story without having to start from scratch in-game?
