As I understand it, this is a continuation of sorts of the Black Mountain series... which I still need to read.

I'm just wondering if this has something to do with the Sansha events. ;)

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

That the Sansha are using the Book of Emptiness?

We said the same thing about 5 months ago, but had no evidence to support it. :P

Yeah, I need to go finish reading that series myself. Started but never got to the end.

I just started reading the Black Mountain chrons a few days ago and am on the last one tonight.  The action is a bit cheesy and the plot turns quickly (only so much space to work with even in a series of chrons, I suppose), but I do I like the illustration of SoE and SoCT it provides.  Never realized how much the story concerned those two factions.  Also, discovering how much The Burning Life heavily reused some of the stuff he wrote in Black Mountain...

This would be a kind of a prequel to the Black Mountain stuff, if I red correctly - this would be ancient history. Though messing with the mind would fit the Black Mountain themes quite well. Along with a lot of other things, such as cloning and mind transfer - understanding how minds work would be instrumental for studying mind-states.

I've never been able to chew through black mountain, its like trying to read Braille on a brick. I did rather enjoy the descriptions of the Cartel station they go through in The First Half Of A Sentence though, I had a little glee moment since the station designs and such were basically exactly how I had figured they'd be before I read the chronicles.

I wonder if this is the same book of emptiness I have in my hanger in Ashab?

No its a item I picked up while I spent my time in period basis with sys-k killing blood raiders. No it didn't come from a mission.

Alright. OK-FEM is  Blood Raider COSMOS (I think), so I'd assume it's for that.

Could be. When you look at it, do you get a sudden urge to board a dropship in a calm, orderly manner?
