Mmk. I came back to this to narrow the tropes down and I just ended up adding even more and elaborating with text walls. So I'm going to give a TL;DR and a Spoiler tag so y'all don't have to read this ridiculous wall of text I've made unless you really hate yourselves or are really curious about my character for whatever reason. Here goes.

There's no Mother to Wolves trope I can find, and there should be.

So, I finally got some time to dig through the tropes list, and I think the three ones that closest fit the Nihils are:

1)  http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SuccessfulSiblingSyndrome

The whole "big sister's always going to be better than me" vibe is totally a thing in the Nihil clan.  Given Sak's head start in combat, experiences in the AT, fame she's received for the SF/BoB match, her long run of providing FC services to organization she's in, etc., there's almost a feeling of futility from the other sisters to even take a good crack at combat.  Hell, we saw a bit of this rear itself last night, when Akusa took out a fleet, only to jump it into highsec on the last jump with a crimflag and see it get CONCORD'd in its entirety.  To borrow from popular culture:

2)  http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HeroicLineage
3)  http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SettlingTheFrontier

Anyone who's interacted with a member of the Nihil family for some length of time has probably heard them talk about where they're from, the little iceball of a planet called Eifer VI, in lowsec Heimatar.  Very rarely does the follow-up question of "why would a pair of ex-CalNav Civire settle outside of the State to raise a family" get asked.  Without spoiling anything, I'll just say its an interesting story.
