Question should be obvious. Feel free to add why if you actually thought about it.  :P

Using Google Chrome here, because Google.com told me it was faster.

They all the same right? Is there something I am missing?

They're not all the same!

Though thank you for not including the abomination that is IE 6.

Firefox 3, simply because I've used it for so long. Oh, and Adblock Plus is <3

Though thank you for not including the abomination that is IE 6.

As time goes on they get closer and closer to being all the same because the best ones (such as Chrome and FireFox) are open-source, so everyone just steals all their shit anyway.

The differentiation is very small.

I use Chrome because (quite flatly) it is the closest to properly running HTML3 and HTML4 code of all the available browsers (save Opera, but I hate the interface of Opera), so it gives me the least trouble.

Also the fact that each tab is its own process, so if I have a tab crash I just lose the one tab and not all of them.

And also the fact that it's incredibly secure because it offers no low-level access to anything that runs on it, save plugins, except I don't even use Flash anymore because HTML4 streams video and audio better than Flash.

I could go on.

I think you mean "HTML 5" for the streaming, don't you? :)

I'm surprised someone still uses IE.

I've used Mozilla since 2005, and have loved it since.

IE8 isn't that bad. It's functionally equivalent to FF2.

IE 8, how I love you.

Also, yes, I've tried Opera, Chrome, and Firefox. Still loving good old IE.

Do you use Wordpad for your document processing needs, too? I mean, as long as you use the free crap that Microsoft bundles with the OS...  :P

Why restrict yourself?

On the computer I'm currently on, I have IE8, firefox and Opera open - I'm typing this on Opera.

At home on the Eve-box I have Firefox and Opera open, and on the email/IRc/Maps box I have Opera and Firefox running.

I avoided Chrome after reading some articles about it phoning home. I have safari installed somewhere, but that was apple trying to be sneaky. I don't use it. And I only use IE at home to connect to the corporate intranet.

Does any of that help?

Here's what happens under the hood. To provide its recommendations Google Suggest needs to know what you've already typed, so these partial queries are sent to Google. For 98% of these requests, we don't log any data at all and simply return the suggestions. For the remaining 2% of cases (which we select randomly), we do log data, like IP addresses, in order to monitor and improve the service.

However, given the concerns that have been raised about Google storing this information -- and its limited potential use -- we decided that we will anonymize it within about 24 hours (basically, as soon as we practically can) in the 2% of Google Suggest requests we use. This will take a little time to implement, but we expect it to be in place before the end of the month.

And:

Google Suggest is actually built into a number of different products including Google Search, Google Toolbar, browsers like Google Chrome and Firefox, and the Google Search application on the iPhone.

Check it, been built into FireFox for years. :|

I should note here that you can turn it off in Chrome. Probably in Firefox, too, but in Chrome, unless you do, everything you type in the address bar is sent to Google for suggestion fodder.

This doesn't seem like a big problem in any way, though. Options > Under the Hood > "Show a suggestion service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar". Uncheck it and you're good to go.

Suggestions are disabled in my firefox...

And before you call me paranoid, I used to work for a company making data mining tools.

They're not harmless.
