If they had only expanded more into what the Island was, I would have understood it a bit more, but everything else I got. Besides, the finale showcased what the series was really about: destiny and friendship. I appreciated how the writers fit in a lot of literary elements that one wouldn't normally see on television.

Slight thread necro, but this explains the series and the end damn well, even if set up slightly comedical. Suffice to say it will spoil the end for you if you haven't seen it yet, but then again, what are you doing in this thread if you don't want it spoiled hmm?
