Carnage: Very Short Story
« on: 17 May 2010, 09:01 »

WARNING: This is quite descriptive and gory, if you don't like those things, skip.
(Just thought I would warn you all  ;) )

The two men stood facing each other, both heaving from the exertion of their conflict.
The darkened room stood empty but for these two, the fire and intent clear in the eyes of each of them.
Standing in opposing corners, their hands in front of their faces in a fighting stance, feet planted firmly with the weight almost completely shifted to the rear foot.
They where both large men, both would easily dwarf most people aboard the station.
The darker skinned man moved slowly forward, the fairer skinned opponent moved in unison.
With no warning the fairer man lunged forward, launching a powerful combination of quick and powerful kicks and punches, the first volley made it past the guard of the darker skinned man with a solid fist landing across his jaw, grunting as the blow landed but using the momentum to spin behind the aggressor and return with a hooking elbow to crack into the back of the paler mans skull with a sickening crunch.
The pale skinned man stumbled forward into the nearby wall, recovering quickly to turn just in time to shove away a quick jab to the neck, bringing his own knee up towards the chest of the dark man, the quick thinking rewarding him with his own crunch as a rib gave way to the immense force behind it, the moment of glory was ended sharply by a blow the side of the head that would have brought most people to the ground, resulting only in the pale man being flung to the ground, but still conscious.
Using this to his advantage, the dark man turned to lean down and grab the pale man by the neck, using his other hand to help as he threw him into the wall, the whip-crack from the skull whacking against the steel walls reverberating in his ears, the now only barely conscious man tried to push himself off, only to be met with the fist of the darker man directly to the stomach, doubling him over without any chance to recovery, dropping to his knees and in desperation grabbing at the ankles of the darker man, succeeding in tripping his opponent and granting him a few more seconds.
The dark man didn’t need more than a few himself before he was back on his feet and launching his next brutal assault, wet crunches from the impacts on the pale man ending up with the near dead man slumped against a wall, looking into the fiery eyes of the dark man.
With a roar the dark man launched his final assault, a hook to the ribs followed shortly be a disgustingly wet and sharp blow to the side of the head, the skull crumpling inwards as the corpse collapsed to the floor.

The darker man stood there, slowly turning his head to observe the carnage, only now noticing the blood spattered on all the walls and across the floor, even covering his own body, most of the skin on his knuckles was gone and a few of his ribs poked at awkward angles.

But he stood victorious, blood-soaked and half dead, but the victor.

With a deep guttural roar he screamed until he could no longer.

From a room a few floors up, a man handed over some money, turning without a word to leave the room, all that could be seen was a screen with a man screaming, and the ugly smile in the dark.

Written at 1am whilst very tired.
Its short and nasty, but its something that I can see happening in some of the darker areas of EVE.
Disgusting and brutal, the fight of two nameless, faceless, raceless creatures for nothing more than a few ISK.
