Then think very hard before hitting post, and make sure that you phrase things in the most careful way possible.

Can I ask, what if facts are offensive?

Then people get offended by facts? vOv Personally, I'd find that really hard to care about: is a bit like being offended by grass being green. :D

I'm colorblind, and grass should be blue so I don't mistake it for a field of blood-covered spikes.

And I am hearing impaired. Ze'ev, I suggest we take advantage of each other's disabilities and mock each other viciously for them, because it takes a gimp to know a gimp.

I want to phrase things in the most truthful way possible. Can I do that on this board when the truth hurts? Certainly there are other venues for it.

Being 'truthful' is often cover for being offensive or misleading.

There is also the issue of whether someone means truth as in a verifiable fact or truth as in what they believe the truth to be. Or even truth as in 'To tell you the truth...' followed by their opinion.

In the second and third cases, saying something is 'truth' isn't cover for it being offensive.

In the first case, phrasing does matter, and if something is a verifiable fact, trying to phrase it inoffensively won't make it not true.
