Sixteen kills

Some people say a man is made outta mud
A Civire's made outta muscle and blood
Muscle and blood and chin and bones
A mind that's dutyful and a back that's strong

You score sixteen kills, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Say, Pieter don't you kill him 'cause he can't go
You owe your soul to the Loyalty Store

He was batched one mornin' when the sun didn't shine
He picked up his Condor and he warped to the line
He scored sixteen kills of Federate grunts
And the corp boss said "Another half-assed hunt"

You score sixteen kills, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Say, Pieter don't you kill him 'cause he can't go
You owe your soul to the Loyalty Store

He was batched one mornin', it was drizzlin' rain
Rockets and Scrambler are his middle name
He was raised in a corp creche to live for the State
And he doesn’t know how to handle a date

You score sixteen kills, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Say, Pieter don't you kill him 'cause he can't go
You owe your soul to the Loyalty Store

If he pops in local, better stay inside
A lotta men didn't, a lotta men died
One launcher of iron, the other of steel
If the right one don't a-get you
Then the left one will

You score sixteen kills, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Say, Pieter don't you kill him 'cause he can't go
You owe your soul to the Loyalty Store

*coughs* sorry, Pieter ^^

Well written and I only have an "inkling" of context for it.

It's pretty good! My one criticism would be that "load" seems weirdly out of context. We bag, score, or snag kills, right?  :o

@ Malcolm
As for the context, it's first and foremost an OOC joke -come to think of it, if it gives the impression I wanted to laugh at Pieter's character expanse : it was certainly not the intention. Joking, not mocking.
It is IC ? It's for Pieter to decide, of course. I can easily imagine this character's fanbase  : proud, dutyful and hard-working State citizens (1). Did one of them grab his guitar and start singing ? Pieter's choice :)

@Iwan
Excellent point, thanks :)

(1) Probably overnumbered by an insane amount of swooning groupies :)

For Civire, the term is probably "chinnies" or "beardies", tbh.

Also, I shouldn't be laughing this hard at work. Damn you.

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Oh no, I meant that there was talk about him being clueless about dating in The Summit a couple of days back, that's all.

Also, I'm sure Pieter does have a State-side fanbase.

Uninformed jokes, that. Also, I hear he also has a fanbase of capsuleer pilots.

I liked it.

For some reason I visualized a squad of troops jogging to it as a cadence.
