Above link for those who don't know what I'm talking about. Either way, how many of you live in the predicted path? Or seeing the battering rain outside your window? Regardless, keep us updated on your status whenever possible.

I've got a lot of friends in that area.  Says the wind is getting intense. Moving future out of low-lying houses, that kinda thing.

Hope it doesnt go as bad as it could go.

I'm here in Southern Ontario.  We are not used to getting other than the trail-end already-dead bits of Hurricane.  Nevertheless we are getting wind warnings for winds gusting up to 100km/h and rainfall that might be in the 100mm range.  I went and made sure yesterday that I had enough food and water to last 72 hours in case of a major power outage, and we're all being urged to do the same.

At the moment, we aren't getting much rain but the winds are starting to pick up.  I can only imagine what New York and other places on the coast are going through right now, and I've got my fingers crossed for all my East Coast pals, no matter what country they are in.

About 10-15 miles west of Boston here. MBTA (local mass transit for those who don't know the area) is shutting down at 2PM local, so Dad's coming home from work early. Only light rain and some strong winds so far but we're not expecting to get the brunt of it until later tonight.

Most of my family is on the east coast (Connecticut, Delaware, NYC), but I haven't heard anything bad from them via phone or facebook so far.

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Away for work right now, but my new house is probably getting a soaking in the Baltimore area.  Hopefully the forewarning and prep time will mean the power outages are less severe and long-lasting as they were for the freak windstorm we had during the summer.
