I'm unlikely  to ever get to take part in these, but I'm still glad to see them again - felt a bit dry and dead after the Incursion events died down.

Having said that as glad as I am to see this I've heard a (unconfirmed AFAIK) claim that all the event actors fly Machariels (to be expected) pimped with officer/dead space gear... ( )

If that's the case... CCP, wtf were you thinking? Don't fly pimped machs around, that will draw even bigger groups of null-bear folks and blooby low-sec people that won't be there for the events (they won't give a shit) they will be there to get the fat loot and the kill-board padding. Rich and arrogant people don't need more isk and ego-boosting. Use T2 named/T1 instead, please.

Events should be about the events themselves, not another Farming Welfare initiative.

For what it's worth, the Mach KMs I've seen were plain T2 gear.

Don't worry, the loot pinatas are reserved for nullsec bears. Soon you will be able to loot real dollars in the form of original new cash items if you are in a nullsec power bloc and are rich enough to get them.

I still laugh about the PL hot-drop-o'-clock on the live event in lowsec.

Actors ships are t2 fit and using RF ammo, so nothing bling-y, they didn't use anything super bling-y in the incursion events either. No plexes or anything stashed on the actors ships so far either.

The most I've seen was one event in the Incursion precursor where the actor had TS warp scrambler and webifier, I think?

That was the only instance of a non-T2 fitted actor ship that I've seen. The developer caravans are the ones that get pimped normally.

Although one rather thin in actual content, I guess this means they plan to both carry on with the live events, and shift them into multiple time zones?
