Verin is a middle-aged man who is, by the standards of a Civire, fairly small. He is athletic rather than muscular. He wears his hair short and military, and has a neatly-kept full beard. His normal wardrobe consists of boots, fatigues and a loose T-shirt under a sleeveless jacket, but he also frequently wears well-tailored suits. no matter what else he is wearing, he always wears a set of Ishukone watch dogtags against his skin.

Verin served with distinction in Ishukone Watch SWAT unit #35 "Tanto", and has a number of public decorations including a Dragon Wing for valour and a Distinguished Service medal. He was honourably discharged and transferred to the medical support corps following the death of the rest of his team in a Blood Raider attack (Verin himself was receiving intensive treatment to repair a wounded knee at the time). Aggressive retraining allowed him to become a specialist trauma surgeon, in which field he achieved the rank of Major before retiring from the Watch. He traded his Watch pension to fund his pilot training and graduated with Merit in YC 107 at the age of 41.

Verin is a former member of the Ishukone Watch, and a staunch Liberal. He is an avid Corporate Meritocrat, and an advocate of breaking ties with the Amarr Empire in the interest of instead forging a relationship with the Minmatar Republic.
