Muck Raker Appreciation Thread [MRAP]
« on: 14 May 2012, 08:08 »

I just wanted to give a shout-out to the one behind Muck-Raker.

I think it's a fantastic concept, and always, always brings a smile to my face.

Only thing I would add is more 'Gotcha!' journalism of the worst order, catching notable capsuleers coming out of restaurants with secret mistresses or overweight, etc etc.  :)

She is producing some of the few threads that I do an effort in reading and trying to reply to sincerely. Probebly because Jowen is such an "average joe" that never gets out of station and enjoys gossip, though always in denial.

They're better than a lot of the other stuff out there.

Whoever you are, keep it up.

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

+1 to this.

Muck Raker does great stuff!

(and like Muck herself (himself?) said, no, not my alt, stop accusing me)

I love Muck Raker dearly, and look forward to reading her posts. They're right alongside "Interstellar Intrigue" for good, grin-inducing fun.

The only slight quibble I have is that she's set up as a spoof, rather than as the in-setting "real thing." ... Or maybe the name, "Gutter Press," is just a case of truth in packaging. Regardless, it breaks my immersion just a little. I think she could get away with playing it slightly straighter, popping further into the third dimension without losing any of the salacious glory.

I have not, alas, been keeping up with Muck Raker's material. Anyone have some greatest hits?

Well, Bloody Omir's apparently been caught and awaits trail/execution in Amarr.

She must be watching this, because A NEW THREAD JUST WENT UP.

In this, we have discussions of softdrinks (Quafe, being Gallente in origin, is clearly superior) and the title of the thread pokes a jab at the EVIL Caldari Militia.

I don't care who it is.

It's awesome.

I like the implications of Gallentians being punched in the face by walking up to a Minmatar as they so freely use another person's culture as a fad.
