Not to instigate a dispute, but the last one turned into a rather "religious" event, maybe not for all participants, but at least the main dialogue went that way.

In either case, I will have Gymir contact Silas for an invite sometime soon. Thank you Silas!

100% correct and this is not planned to be the same thing at all. More drinking, less scripture :)

*Update*

As an unfortunate development its looking like I won't be able to host this 'in space' as I was planning (a 0.5 Kingdom system). I forgot that for anchoring structures your 'connections' skills are not taken into affect.  What I had assumed was a healthy >5.0 was actually in the 4's after the deduction. :(

So I'm stuck with a 700m paperweight, was going to anchor a sexy dark blood tower at a sexy fiery moon/backdrop last night for event ambiance only to be foiled by my own lack of foresight. If I can sell the tower before the weekend I'll use the cash for some ship giveaways instead.

We'll do it "planetside", so my apologies for people who were planning to show up and buzz around in space during our party.

I've got nearly all my images photoshopped but a ton of text still to write.  Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Wow, sorry you couldn't put the station up. 8( Oh well, I'm sure you'll still make it entertaining, too bad I won't be there to see it. Stupid RP.

I had mentioned earlier, if you have a free character slot feel free to roll an alt and come! Just you know, don't mess up the place but I don't want anyone who wants to go to miss out.

Quote from: Morlag's To-Do List for Saturday
- Pick performance piece (and recording)
- Pick dress (and reference pictures)
- Pick shiny ride

Hooray, my to-do list got shortened by 33%! Been a hectic couple of weeks at work, and with Seycon last weekend... /o\

Lagging Behind

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Well, if you're going to burn the tower anyway.. anchor it in lowsec instead. Time how long it takes for random people to find and hot-drop it as a party game. Alternatively, at random point during the party, expulse everyone from tower and switch on the guns.  :yar:

I've thought about it but hosting in space in lowsec will hinder quite a few RPers from attending, and working out standings with pos guns for 40 different corps is going to be a huge pain.  Wasn't planning on burning the tower. Not like last party!

Additionally I'd rather not waste quite that much isk on something that will immediately be firebombed and that I can't devote proper time to defend.  Too many bored super pilots in my neighborhood.  :)

I'm sure the Guiding Hand could rustle up an appropriately skilled pilot to do your anchoring in the future. You'd be pretty silly to give us anything expensive though, since we're probably just going to steal it, and make a big gloating forum post about doing so.

A POS at a .5 isn't very exciting setting-wise though. For your next party, why not throw it in the heart of a very angry alliance's space, or perhaps two W-space jumps from K. Anyone who survives gets to attend the party; anyone who doesn't... well, let's just imagine them as the ugly people who didn't get past the rope line.

This just happened last night so I haven't been able to canvas far out of my immediate 'trust' circle. It's a pricey object and of course hesitant to hand over to people I don't know well.  Not enough time to admit high-standing alts into my corp before the party as well.

Regarding hosting in hostile space, it is a valid point but it requires a whole other approach to logistics and the like.

Honestly I can't imagine that many of the guets making the trip out to blood raider 0.0 or alliance areas for a few hour RP event, and like I said I'm keeping this one separate from in space shooting. It's a book release and social gathering, so people being exploded outside or on the way to the POS complicates things.

For another event though...

Wanted to extend an OOC thank you to Silas for making this happen. Had a great time observing all of the events, and sadly missing some of them. Let's run down my happy laundry list. In no particular order

  • Morwen's concert
  • Raxip "dancing" - stripping - downstairs with lovely assistants of Synthetic and Valdezi I think they were.
  • Cigars
  • A quiet drink alone by the reflection pool. (upstairs). Gave Logan enough piece of mind to move downstairs at his own lesure.
  • Seri's incredibly awkward dance.
  • Suddenly drug use
  • Free book!

Also, Things I didn't see but heard about.
  • More drugs
  • Someone starting a fire/getting lit on fire?
  • Silas jealousy.

Good times.

This is why Eve RP is fun, now we just need more of these static events, driving a time for all of us dispersed timezone people to congregate and have a blast.

Thank you for all the hard work you put in, great setting and good time. Competitive with last time, only possible downsides were both on my side.
1. Logan went home alone
2. Logan missed out on some fun happenings because I had to work.

I was quite happy to make the tail end of this, at least. Jev had some Exile up the nose before she'd good and well hobbled her way to a seat, and then someone set themselves on fire. Best party ever!
