For a long time, I've contended that CCP was actually paid off by various nations to engineer a game that would divert all the horrifically elaborate and devious machinations EVE's community is capable of, so the world would be spared.

I've often wondered if people like Abe Lincoln would be famous if they had eve in their day.

Edit:  Also this is not the first time CCP devs, or even drop bear has been on one of the 'echo chamber' pod casts.   If you people aren't, you should be listening to:  Fly Reckless, Lost in Eve, Voices of The Void, Not A Lot of News New Hour, W.T.F.W.I.T., Starfleet Comms, Broadcasts from the Ninveah  and my personal favorite Pod Goo.
