I didn't so much give up on IC discussions of PF in Eve - as got kicked out of the "community" by various moderators abusing their in-game moderator rights and banning me from the appropriate channels. Unfortunately these channels have been politicised by various players over the years and cannot really be used as contact points for interested participants. Its unfortunate but I do believe this kind of thing is partially behind the shrinking of the rp community in eve online.

Jade,

Banning you from the Summit did not shrink the RP community.

However, it did double The Summit's average user count within a week.

So what is this thread about again? If things are all super-healthy and all that?

Some channel you're not in, apparently.  ;)

If you believe our moderators abused their privileges, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know the details, along with any records of said abuse you happen to have handy.

Well banning a roleplayer from roleplay channels because you dislike the person on an ooc level and can't even be bothered to make up a believable reason for the banning would seem to count as abuse of position wouldn't you say ?

I was banned from both the summit and ooc channels by people with a grudge and nasty agenda - as a result those channels got a bad reputation amongst people I am friendly with and its the dynamic that creates schisms in the community. As for the reasons perhaps you could check your logs because the only way these things happened from my PoV was ....

Moderator A "oh its jade fuck you very much ban"
Moderator B "I'm back from a long time away and somebody unbanned jade - ban"

None of these cases had the slightest justification and were purely a person abusing the moderator position to take it out on an "enemy" in game.
