Who plays? I just got back into the hobby, and thankfully, my painting skills have not atrophied too severely. (One on left is work-in-progress, one on right is well over 10 years old)

Show off your armies (if you have them, that is - if you do not, your every waking moment should be spent praying for death)

WH40K fan here too although the last time I rolled the dice it was still 2nd Ed... that's about 15 years ago maybe? I've kept my hand in painting since then though and became more of a collector than player.

I was such a fan that I even splashed out on a handful of shares when I was at uni so each year I get a sneaky peak around the design studio as part of the AGM bonus extras  :)

These days I'm more of an avid reader of the Black Library's range of books now (why can't Dan Abnett or Aaron Dembski-Bowden write CCP fiction?) although I keep threatening to return to the game.

You are right though...

I used to play Warhammer Fantasy back in the day. I only have time and money for one hobby (aside from d&d which is eternal and free) at a time. At the moment it's Eve.

I was a Bretonnia player, though. I don't play bad guys. Even in my brief flirtation with 40k (in 1995 so, a while ago now) I played the good guys.

if your near KW, theres a place on Charles St thats paints and plays 40k. Its called Nexus, no website. If your in the area and interested in SW table top let me know, got a solid group running a session every Sunday from 5(ish) pm to 10pm

Likewise - you can kinda tell from my paint schemes, I tried to emulate the era's box art in a lot of cases. I'm so glad I got back into painting, finally I have something to kill time with :D

I have 4 armies in Fantasy Warhammer (Tomb Kings, Skavin, Ogre Kingdoms, and Vampire Counts.) and one 40k Army (Imperial Guard!).

Have an Eldar army and a Blood Angel army...somewhere. Boxed up.  Prolly should look for that....

Also started a Deathwatch pen and paper RPG.  Its good stuff.  Far better than I thought it would be.

Started playing in 1996;  inconsistent play since then across all sorts of GW products.  I am a big fan of the 40k Universe Specialist Games.

40k: Ultramarines (3rd Co + Auxiliaries, more than 100 Marines), Imperial Guard (Steel Legion, Stolen from a storage unit :( ), Demonhunters/Grey Knights (haven't updated to the new Codex)

Fantasy: Dwarfs

Epic Armageddon: Ultramarines, Imperial Guard, Orks (& purchased Eldar)
Battlefleet Gothic: 2x Imperial Navy, Chaos, Space Marines (Ultramarines)
Aeronautica Imperialis: EVERYTHING!  I purchased everything needed to play the first 6 or 7 scenarios.

Also have a copy of Dreadfleet, yet to play a game, really should.

Unlike Eve, my wife is interested in playing Fantasy (& Dreadfleet) and is slowly building a High Elf army :)

Considering building Tau Empire for 40k, but just too many projects going on all over the place.
