Because I know Content/Storyline supports Game Design and not the other way around, but WTF?

(Yes this is a slight troll post. Not ashamed of it.)

Yes, your duds should blow up on ship loss, not pod loss. What ever happened to HTFU, CCP?

I think they call it a money sink. As if they weren't preying on your vanity already...  ;)

I actually think this would make so much more sense (even though it'd still be stupid). It also means the items could be priced cheaper, because they'd blow up more often. I can understand why a pilot might want to have their favorite clothes on a ship.

And yes, I took ECON101, I know that these things need to be destructible. Retconning isn't the way to go, though.

It's not a retcon. The dev posts in the thread made it clear they consider the stuff to be somehow in, like, a trunk or something. (That's not exactly right but gets the point across.) And it certainly works for the monocles and such.

Sorry, I don't read 50 page trollnaughts.

That sounds a bit silly, but well, whatever I guess. :\

If they call it that, they are wrong. Unless they mean RL money, because all super-special clothing does with ISKies is shuffle them around. Or did I miss the part where they added an ISK cost on top of the Aurum cost?

Someone's gotta buy the Aurum before it gets to the market. That costs money.

In an effort to clarify: Yes, I agree. But not an ISK sink. A RL one, though in that case it's in the 'waste' sense of the term rather than the 'way to control in-game inflation' sense.

Small pod luggage compartment for personal effects? The size of, say, a duffel bag?

Makes sense to me.

As for the "micro-transaction" aspect ...

... not bothered really. Some people pay for their licenses with ISK, others with RL money. It's already hard to explain from an IC perspective, thus probably best glossed over.

The pod clearly has a built-in suitcase for a change of clothes you can carry with you. Otherwise, when you docked your pod at a station, decanted, showered and reached for something to wear, you'd find...

... something like station-issue overalls, or a dispensing machine for T-shirts and shapeless drawstring pants, or the Amarrian equivalent of hotel bathrobes (and "For clothes that fit, call XXX-XXX").

It actually makes a kind of sense.

Just... managing my wardrobe inventory was something I was previously happy handwaving. :)

Maybe our ships are cross-capsule, and it's stored in a little suitcase next to the capsule on the bridge.

If you may have noticed, the Aurum will make the ISK price of the PLEX go up phenomenally.

Hence making people that pay for their gametime with ISK have to use it as even a greater ISK sink, making it all a bit more profitable for CCP.

Quite genius if you think of it.
