Hey, folks.  I used to play Eve back in the day, and like any good crack addict, I responded predictably when CCP sent me a trial offer.  I've been fairly lurky in some of the RP channels I remember (Last Gate, etc), but now I'm wanting to get my RP on.  My question to you all is "where is the RP nowadays"?  Where do you find your RP, what sort of RP do you find, and how do you find it (that is, do you like the RP you see in the game)?

Well, I'm still a wee nubbin, comparatively, but lots of corps have their own IC channels. Random action, but action nonetheless.

Last Gate is still an outlaw central type of place.

New Eden Assembly is the new kid on the block focusing on maintaining debate-form style conversation. The Summit is a watering hole of sorts still.

Outside of these general areas I'm not certain of others.

'The Skyhook' is the RP bar owned by Naraka, but like a lot of other bars, the action there is sporadic. I've been dropping in more often lately, though.

There's 'Heiian College' too, which is a comms channel for Caldari discussion.

EDIT: as for what I think of the RP in game, the drama for the sake of it is annoying, but interaction that just tends to happen naturally, is awesome. I tend to go for the latter

Where is the RP?!

The RP is there the second you log on, (in the face of every child.  On the smile of every baby) and not the elusive beast people make it out to be.

Don't look for it in channels or it will know your looking for it and it will hide from you.  This also risks attacks from the other magical monster the "lolrper" and any RP monsters you do find hiding in these channels will be old and fat, no sport at all.

My top tip for finding the beast known as RP is jump into a ship and fly around for a bit and it will come find you.  Shouting random stuff in local has been known to attract it as has shooting random stuff.

I'm trying to get out of RP but people keep dragging me back in.   The Assembly is a good place.

Deck23 for Pro-Matari/Anti-Empire/Anti-Slaver hangout. Ushra'Khan's official place to hang after a long day of hulling Amarrian vessels.

Circle of Tribes for Matari RP (Summit/Assembly style channel), no foreigners though for now. We'll see what happens in time.

The Undock button seems to be awesome too. The Wardec button is even better.

But mostly, RP is not somewhere, it's everywhere. Private convos and fleet chats and corp/alliance and stuff.
