Justification??

Maybe because they're awesome?

I think it's a matter of icelandic people not knowing english 9 years ago, though.

Directive Enforcement Department isn't proper English? Seems like a perfectly appropriate title for, I dunno, a Department that Enforces Directives.

Ken, I'm curious, what are your justifications for the design elements of the other pictures?
Justification??

Maybe because they're awesome?
Mostly that. :)  Overall this is just a fusion of my icons with hawt sci-fi concept art that I long ago found and saved to my hdd because... well, because it was awesome!  The pairing of artwork with icons was mostly on a whim.  Whatever seemed to fit and also suggest things about the organization/corp that are underplayed or glossed over most of the time.  When I look at them I see all sorts of stories about Ishukone Watch, for example, or the DED that have yet to be told but totally should be!  Taken as a whole the choice of art and selection of icons probably betrays my desire that New Eden be the love child of Blade Runner, Shadowrun, and the 5th Element writ large. :D

Also, folks may want to check the OP.  Might be something new there... ;)

You should probably release these on EVE-O so you can get proper luves from the community. :)

NoH, a scene from one of their many entertainment channels!

Edit: Didn't even see the LDPS background the first time,  may have to use it as a background when I am back at my own computer.

btw, it's Direct Enforcement Division, not department.

Still epic though. ;)

I thought it sounded like that from the one scope video to but the chron is not mistaken. and yes Direct Enforement Division sounds better though it is Directive Enforcment Department

You are the man!

Edit: Initial post was from my phone.

Ken, you have done awesome.  I am finding the work you have done simply inspiring.  You have captured a feeling for Lai Dai that I need figure out how to translate into the game.

I must ask, why did you use 1900x1200 as opposed to 1920? AFAIK, there is no display resolution that uses native 1900 and I have to stretch the image in order to cover the 10 pixel gaps on either side.

Great work though, I'm using the True Power one now!
