News:

debris from starship combat near planets sometimes survives re-entry, as when a relay station on Yong III was destroyed by debris after a fierce fight in low orbit on 27.08YC105.

Landmark updates in Tyrannis

Noun, not adjective.

I dearly hope that some of these include some background text and whatnot.

When I took a look at some of them a while back, there was a little pop up window that had a bit of text on it.

Some things that you might have come across before, others that you might not.

Eh.. the way I'm reading this, they took semi-unique things like shattered stations orbiting random planets, copied them into dungeon format (presumably including an acceleration gate to get to them?), deleted the originals, spammed them all over the place (removing the semi-uniqueness they used to have) and added some with rogue drones in the drone regions because that part of the map didn't have enough little red icons on it.

Someone please tell me I'm misunderstanding what they mean by "objects"...

Seems like, Havo. Hopefully it isn't too bad though - we will have to see with the release.

They should really just have a couple of interns churning out interested locations throughout Eve, tbh.  :D

things like those random ruined stations, or those things orbiting certain planets. Matar had a thing orbiting it. Amarr Prime had a monument that you currently cannot warp to, unless you have a bookmark.

Things like that, I guess, they've made more accessible. (it broke at least one cosmos mission, which involved a floating canister at a planet iirc)

I'm not sure how I feel about this.

I'm more interested in the unique history text the sites will give, if any at all, than anything else.

With 2200+ objects, I doubt there'll be much in the way of flavor text in such a short time span, unless it's the same blurb copy/pasted over each one =/

Precisely why I'm not certain how I feel about this. 2,200 is a big number that will mean jack shit if its all copy/paste.

You can go on SiSi and check some of them out already. They have descriptions and tidbits of lore. I visited some of the "Abandoned Gallente Outpost" which mentioned how projects in the Fed tend to get hyped up, invested then obvious abandoned etc.

2 Questions:

1, where does this leave "major" landmarks? Left as is, they are largely no different than the so-called "minor" landmarks. Will they recieve a sprucing up to make them different?

2, throughout my travels I have come across a few beacons which are obviously broken. Some include what appear to be half-finished sites (i.e., giant gas clouds but nothing else) while others just dump you in empty space. Will these be fixed?

I like the implications of Gallentians being punched in the face by walking up to a Minmatar as they so freely use another person's culture as a fad.
