Awwww, the girl believes money grows on trees to pay for free lunches and can't understand why there has to be cuts.

How cute.

Because government actions are totally deterministic, and definitely not a result of elite and popular preference structures as filtered through the electoral and policy-making processes. No sir. The only things that can happen in government are those that must happen.

Yea doesn't she know that money is needed to blow up browns and allow for massive tax breaks for the upper class? Silly girl thinks the government should feed the hungry.

I am going to throw it out there that any further discussion of politics is going to result in violations of the forums rules.

Sarcasm in a political conversation, over the internet, is likely to only lead to flames.  It will likely lead to stereotyping each other as being "liberal" or "conservative."  But where someone lands on the political spectrum can vary with the topic.   The quick remarks are not going to change anyone's political opinion, they will only serve to alienate them.

Simply put, we are not going to agree on the purpose or structure of governments.

Actually, we've had civil, courteous discussions on political differences.

It is possible, after all, TV news to the contrary.
