I never got that 'Oooh, Metallica stopped being good after Black Album' mentality. It's all been good music to me, even though it's changed and evolved. I've liked all of their albums, for different reasons. Yes, even St. Anger was great to me.

As for Death Magnetic, Broken Beat & Scarred was my favorite tune. It's just... marvelous.

I do like that one.

St. Anger always struck me as an album that would have been "pretty good" from a newer or less well-known group, just not near the quality of what we expected from Metallica in particular.
