That, even on non-capsuleer vessels, ship command sections are designed to be sheared off and function as an escape capsule? (The Burning Life p. 85)

AMARR VICTOR!

Amarr took first at 900k points, with PIE's very own Admiral Ascentior taking the honorary commission. Honorary Fabricator-General Ascentior!

Minmatar second, Caldari third, Gallente fourth. I don't recall the names of the honorary commissions for those three, but they'll get posted soon.

The tech are T3 destroyers. Amarr one will be coming out in December.

That Amarr came in first AND Minmatar came in second has had me in constant laughter since the announcement.

I am definitely chugging the tears from certain quarters of the Caldari donators right now, since they're coming out like a cracked fire hydrant.

Lagging Behind

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Wait what!  T3 destroyers, what the hell?!

CCP moaned for how many years now that T3s are so broken, hard to balance, need a rework etc. So now they add new t3 ships without rebalancing old ones, no really what the ...

Congrats to PIE btw. \o/

CCP must frequently inject new, overpowered equipment for old-timers to stay interested.  It's just new shiny for the kids who already have everything.

I have to admit I am surprised that Minnie did so well. Amarr doesn't surprise me, nor does Gallente doing poorly. But I did not expect Minmatar to do so well. Grats to PIE & Co. I wonder if I'll ever regret backing out of donating.

Also, if I had to pick a ship that I would be least interested in seeing go T3, it would be destroyer. But at least it's something.

Yeah, storyline wise too I can think of a few more interesting outcomes to 'we've noticed new behavioural patterns in Sleeper drones' than 'here's a new frigate class ship to play with'. ISK sink live events ftw.  :psyccp:

An ISK sink for the bad guys- pirates, Sansha loyalists, etc.- would be nice. There is always insurance fraud I guess. But I think killing a CONCORD incursion in null or low would be a little more badass.

Yeah, I am totally happy that we won it... but whose idea was tier 3 destroyers? Why would anyone ever want that?

Minmatar's T3 Dessie is going to be an artillery boat. I am sure of it. I am not a big fan of artillery boats.

Actually looking at the t3 dessie concept: It's actually a better approach than I expected. Certainly better than subsystems were. But I need to know things like "what size plexes can they get into" and other FW specific things to really have an opinion.

Completely agree, and i really have to wonder if it would be interesting to ponder "backporting" the design to t3 cruisers, rename them elite battlecruisers instead and then provide the same type of "inflight dynamic configuration".

Obligatory: I WAS WRONG  :D

I guess desire to get something valuable put faction contacts in way huge advance than independents. And, congratulations to Amarr. Although I would wish the State to win, from practical point of view (coercer I think is still one of my most used ships) I am really happy that Amarr won.

And what good State destroyer could bring... cormorants are already able to snipe from 100km.
Now imagine fleets of t3 Caldari destroyers in sniper mode.
