I know you have coleslaw in the UK.  My nan was a secret sadist.

I mentioned to her I liked coleslaw after some arrived with some takeaway delivery.  She then bought an entire head of cabbage and strongly wanted me to shred, and then eat, the entire bowl.  In two days.  And only because I didn't finish it the first day.

When I stopped eating coleslaw, she kept asking if I didn't want coleslaw.

I felt like a tiny child being forced to empty my plate.  And it was the *wrong kind of cabbage to boot*.  TBH, I think she was chuffed in some sadistic way to do these things to me.

She also baked an onion.  Just a single large onion.. when I said I liked cooked onions.  I had to eat that too.

Even an American can't say no when confronted with the Look from a nan.

In fairness, when first being confronted with the tube map, "holy shit, how does this shit work?" is a completely reasonable reaction.  People trying to avoid eye contact with you is also normal.
