Quote from: CCP Rise
HERE THEY ARE

I think we will have a lot of discussion here, these ships will be great for a lot of different things meaning people will be trying to tug them in a few different directions. That's fine!

What we're shooting for is ships that are themed around exploration and therefor make good platforms for a range of activities including probing, hacking, exploration combat sites, anoms, killing anom runners, spying on people, looking super sexy and generally being kind of awesome.

We're supporting that model with things like:
Covert cloaks
Exploration role bonuses
Drone and laser weapon systems with large cargo and drone bays so that you don't have to go home often
Extremely high ship agility
And more!

Anyways you guys can toy around with these specs and let me know what we missed or what you think would be better and I'll try to make everyone happy (which is usually easy).

Thanks!

2 highslots on the frigate, and one of them is going to be used by the cloak...

I can't help but feel a 3/3/4 layout works better, or even a 3/4/3

I suspect that's the remaining PvE/PvP dichotomy they want speaking there.

i.e., you can fit cloak/probes and do your PvE, but your only DPS is going to be via drones (which, to point out, has huge bay and bandwidth for a T1 frigate and will present a nice chunk of DPS on its own). Or you can fit turrets and do a bit of extra damage, at the cost of not being a really effective explorer.

I like the implications of Gallentians being punched in the face by walking up to a Minmatar as they so freely use another person's culture as a fad.

I suppose you should be able to fit a DDA in the lows and go with a 5 light drone offence, it just doesn't quite sit comfortably with me to have your entire offence be Drone based with no secondary system.

That said I've probably forgotten how good 5 bonused light drones actually are.

I can't help but feel a 3/3/4 layout works better, or even a 3/4/3
Notice the bonuses. No capacitor modifier for turrets like Big Sis. I wouldn't even put weapons on that beauty. It's not designed for a stand up fight; it sits back, lets the drones have fun. Big Sis (or Sisters) let the big guns come to bear on anything Little Sis can't handle.

They're ships of peaceful exploration that have enough teeth to get to their prize.

Anyone suggests this be bastardized into a frontline combat ship will face my wrath. WRATH I TELL YOU!

Pretty sure these are your new "scan for juicy target in deadspace and tackle" frigates.

The cruiser is going to get changed, I'd put ISK on it.

At present it can hit over 1k DPS with Heavy Neutrons and drones. Expect a bandwidth and/or turret slot nerf (probably both). At the moment it's a cloaky Navy Exequeror with slightly slower damage application that is more than made up for in the presence of the cov ops cloak.

If it doesn't get changed, I, for one, welcome our new ubiquitous solo PVP ship. The thing will be s.i.c.k. for BLOPs drops as well.
