Pretty much.  It was decided that even without "Dislikes" it was too much potential for shittery.  I'd sure as hell "Like" the fuck out of some Felix Rasker fiction posts, though, I can tell you that!

I guess it's maybe just more sane if people just say that they liked something with true words. It feels more genuine and makes it less trivial.

Because every post on the internet must contain true genuine-ness and not be trivial at all, ever.

EDIT:  Also, when I enjoy or agree with a post, but have nothing to add to the conversation at the time (likely because the post I like said it all already), it is perfectly acceptable to spam threads with "I like your post a lot."  (There is sarcasm here.  Do not go spamming normal threads on this board like that, you'll get reported/modded/etc.)

I guess i just hate the facebook mentality. You make thousands of "friends", you "like" thousands of things (<- note the quotation marks)...

I admit though it can indeed be useful in certain specific fashions.

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.
