One of the commenters on one of my eve-o posts was a coalition map would be more useful then Sov map. I created a map over on my blog. The map will update once a day with the current sovereignty information. If anyone notices any inaccuracies please shoot me a mail. I have RED and Solar listed for the moment even tho they are not a Coalition.

Nice image, I've never really wrapped around where the coalitions where until now.  Too many alliances, too many alliances to both with before.

This is just more proof that CCP should really formalize coalitions in-game.  Another layer of complexity, and all that, or at least give us a binding treaty system.

Automating that is relatively hard, as seen on Verite's map, though. Probably could develop some kind of a clustering algorithm for that, so that renter alliances could be guesstimated, assuming standings were available, because with the rule of "any connections between alliances" you'd probably end with a close approximation of a blue donut. So would need to take into account interconnectedness and seed groups with the leading alliances. I think at least some of the standings lists are public?

Coalition members can be found here while many standings can be found here. This is of course not a complete or totally accurate list as it requires manual updating (as well as the always complicated "who is actually in this coalition?") but it does allow for the creation of a relatively accurate map.

The map itself, I believe, is currently being updated manually rather than through any form of automation.

By the way, the website the coalition data is fed from 'Dingo's Toolbox' has a whole raft of extremely useful tools for an FC, including a D-Scan analyzer, a local analyzer, a tool that gives you the expected fitting of a ship from a particular alliance and a guide to the terminology and equipment involved in Sov Warfare.

I have added the Big Black Coalition to the map since it looks like they will be getting Sov soon.
