Why do I get the feeling that there is something more going on here than a DDoS?  I understand that CCP isn't as big as Blizzard or other internet presences, but it just seems odd that it would be down this long.  Or I could just be wrong

CCP is smaller, but Eve's server is more complicated (because there is only the 1 cluster everyone is on).

No, but a DDos is very serious business.  If they wanted to, they could be up right now, but that would be akin to opening your bank right after it was robbed, there are things they need to do.

Honestly, I expect them to be down until regular DT.  But a lot of it depends on the skill of their security and how brave they are in bringing everything back up.  And when the actual attack occurred.  They did say ongoing attacks so that means some one paid a lot of money to screw us out of internet spaceships.  The jerk.
