I've had a really hard time ever since Omerta Syndicate folded coming up with some reason for Shin to really feel the old holy fire. ICly, Omerta Syndicate was a long and drawn out surrendering of her principles in order to gain the things that her family needed to survive.

Now, thanks to Shakor, Shin has a purpose! An unexpected one! Shin, who has always sympathized with the Republic, has turned into a raging, frothing-at-the-mouth enemy of the Republic! Which is not the typical position for a Gallentean to take. Even a Gallentean working for the State.

At the same time, she's starting to see that as the Republic has to come to terms with the Amarr Empire, so do the Federation and the State have to come to terms with one another. While she used to scoff at folks who wanted to make Caldari Prime into a symbol, she is gradually coming to the view that the only real future for the Gallenteans and the Caldari-Prime Caldari is together. What exactly this means isn't really clear to her, yet.

In any case, hooray for warmongering Shakor!

This screed has been subjected to coherence dampeners, which have converted my normally well-thought-out writing into something a little more like a six year old's impressions of sensationalist talk radio. The coherence dampener of choice for this evening has been Morgado ruby port.

Please chat Shin up ICly about this. I'm eager to develop this some more via RP happy funtime.

It's not hard to be an enemy of Shakor's when it's the blind leading the blind. ;)

Yes. The Republic has certainly been a powerful catalyst for my (Halete's) RP. Since her very inception what she's been doing has somehow been shaped by the Republic, Shakor, and their loyalists.

So certainly cannot complain about the news drabs we've been getting concerning what Shakor is up to; it's been a powerful motivator and I feel that Halete has been pushed into a niche where she'll shine nicely.

It's officially folded?  I thought we'd just gone idle.

(Not that this matters for Vieve's purposes.  She has gained what she believes she needs to survive, and she's quite content.  Oh, sure, her ability to communicate outside of her fixation loop is atrophying more each day, but ... this hardly matters for anyone else's purposes, either.  :D )

I don't think it's completely officially folded, but everyone's gone off to other things (in or out of the game). I'm RPing it as another Zaitsev disappearance, with the State coming down on the now-unprotected organization and scattering us pilots to the winds. I'd be happy to work out a common story...

All I can contribute is that I stumbled across the Omerta Syndicate webpage, never heard of you guys but that page is truly awesome.

If its any help, Ulf is contemplating necessary preparations for the civil war against Shakor....

A Zaitsev disappearance is certainly plausible.

(But please ping Yuki if you want to work out a common story. He's been popping up every now and then.  I would run with scissors at you, but they're not my scissors, and I can do a lot of damage to scissors.)

I can do a lot of damage to scissors.

The choice of wording here is pretty important.

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Man, I haven't seen Yuki around in a dog's age. It would be nice to have some sort of closure on Omerta. In the mean time, I'm just trying to be extremely generic about the disappearance of an organization that many of us literally pledged our IC lives to. The alternative is retiring Shin and starting over, which would be either too boring (starting a new character) or too expensive (buying a trained character) for my tastes.

Lemme rephrase. I considered retiring Shin, but decided against it. I decided in a very generic manner that O-SYN must have folded to avoid the alternative of simply retiring her.
