There will have to be special care given to remove the ooc derpiness and make the motivations and behavior more... fictional plot friendly and less ooc shitty.

They should make an episode based on the Troll Gate story.

I'm sure that this is a major part of it, but if they're drawing inspiration from "The Walking Dead," "Breaking Bad," and "Game of Thrones," rather than "COPS," they're going to be needing a central cast. Station personnel seem like a natural match-- pretty much anything in New Eden can happen at least partially at a sufficiently busy port of call, and Jita 4-4 really has become New Eden's B5 (lack of neutrality notwithstanding).

I disagree on this, Yulai is New Eden's B5: the main point of connection among the races, a neutral place, and the main place for people to debate and do diplomacy. Jita would be the B5 of pod-pilots, yes, but pod-pilots aren't that important in EVE's story: the Minmatarr attacked Yulai, not Jita, before invading the Amarr.
In fact, Yulai is B5 at the end of fourth season, when there already is a unified and centralized force to act as the UN but with it's own strength: Babylon 5 in that series, CONCORD in EVE.
I swear, a character-narrator intro for this pilot could practically write itself.

There are just two things you need to know about Jita 4-4.
Don't come here.
And if you do come here?  Don't fall asleep.

The Matari are great practical jokers.
Last time they sent a diplomatic envoy here to Yulai, it took months to clean up the debris.

I must be missing the greater market picture. While old and existing players will have plenty of nerdgasm about a TV series, how is this serie supposed to earn its own cost?
Surely CCP does not expect new people to become interested in playing the game if the show portraits humans as characters while the game uses spaceships. Perhaps they will make the show use spaceships as characters too, a bit like Thomas the Tank Engine just grimdark.

I like the implications of Gallentians being punched in the face by walking up to a Minmatar as they so freely use another person's culture as a fad.

Maybe it is because the Tengu is my favorite ship. Maybe it is just because I am a sweaty internet pervert. Either way I am already in love with Tengu-chan...

Not sure. Doing a google image search on it provides a large number of slightly dodgy anime websites
