Hey there! Looking for some RP opportunities in EVE, especially for Gallente.

I know about 'forceposing' and general etiquette from oldschool MU*s, and EVE seems like a great sandbox to make characters in. There's a great volume of fluff, and the game has a lot of different speeds within it.
What's always drawn me to it is the stories that people tell, or even CCP framing changes within context of a living world, run by players. 

I'd love to find a corp I can be a Gallentean newbie at the game, and possibly also as a capsuleer, to enrich the skill queue/mining/missioning/attempting to blast things aspects of all these mechanics.

Glad to have stumbled upon the boards!

Yup.

At least in ancient MU*speak, a "pose" (:<action>) is the same as /me <action>.

:zaps everyone with a flashy thingie and wanders out, confident that no one here will remember how old she is, because :flashy thingie:.

Yeah, it means during in your /pose you're purposefully/inadvertently forcing an action on the other guy/ or otherwise presuming his actions. I have no idea if that's at all relevant in MMO RPing XP

Hm... I guess that really was kind of a long time ago! I certainly couldn't imagine anything like EVE XP  If EVE is celebrating its 10th anniversary, then...
